1. Our aim is to find the best employees for our client companies.

As an executive search and professional placement company, our aim is to find the best people for our clients. Conventional advertise and select methods of recruitment are notoriously inefficient, time-consuming and wasteful, although they can be a necessary part of the recruitment process in particular industries. A common alternative employed by recruitment agencies is the data base which can work well for contract employment, but tends to be too anonymous, the information often too dated, and too slow to do justice to the career aspirations of successful people.

2. We do this by providing a highly customised service to determine our client company's needs, and then headhunting to source a selection of well-qualified, skilled and experienced candidates to fill appropriate positions. We reference-check all candidates before we recommend them to a client company.

As headhunters we provide a highly customised service to individual candidates, geared to the precise needs of our clients. We have a good knowledge of our industry specialisations, companies and markets. Also, we are regularly in touch with decision makers in a wide range of companies, so are able to bring to their attention high calibre candidates who are relevant to the needs and future strategies of those companies.

3. We aim to make a close match between our candidates and our client, not just in terms of qualifications and experience, but in terms of personality and corporate culture. It is only when a client and candidate share common expectations and aspirations that we can feel confident that the new appointee will fit comfortably into the new position and is likely to perform to the best of his/her ability.

In order to maintain our credibility with client companies, we have to be sure that candidates are capable, successful and experienced professionals. To ensure this we employ a number of techniques commencing with analysis of the candidate's CV. Perhaps surprisingly, many successful people undervalue themselves at this stage and we will often engage in a reflective dialogue with potential candidates in order to do justice to their experience, maximise their credibility and ensure that they are right for the job under consideration. We will also advise on how best to present yourself, both in your CV and to a potential employer.

During our dialogue with you, the candidate, we will not only explore how well-suited you are for the job under consideration but will also assess you against other possible future employment opportunities. You will understand that while your qualities may not match the particular job under immediate consideration, your qualities may be entirely suitable for a related position with the same company. It is this ability to consider and project the qualities of a limited number of candidates that distinguishes headhunting from other recruitment processes.

4. We facilitate the interview process to the benefit of client and candidate, and provide advice so that both are able to derive as much benefit as possible from the meeting.

Once you have been selected for interview, we will help prepare you by providing you with background information on the company. Many good candidates lack experience of being interviewed, so we will discuss the interview process in detail with you, and work with you to ensure that you are ready to respond to a wide range of interview questions, in such a way as to best emphasise your particular strengths and potential value to the company. We can provide you with feedback after the interview, answer any outstanding queries you may have, and arrange further interviews. Should you be offered a position that you wish to accept, we are often best placed to negotiate a package which is agreeable both to you and the company, and to smooth out any relocation problems. We can also guide you through the (often delicate) process of resignation from your present company.

5. We respect and protect client and candidate confidentiality, revealing identities only when a good match has been established and client and candidate agree to proceed to interview.

We support career development by working with candidates who are capable, successful and experienced professionals. We use in-depth interview techniques to ensure that each candidate is well suited to a position, and that the move will represent an appropriate and advantageous development to the candidate's career.

As a candidate, you will be working with one of our consultants who specialises in your particular industry, sector, or field and is regularly in contact with decision makers in client companies. This consultant will be prepared to approach suitable companies on your behalf, while protecting your confidentiality. He/she can discuss your potential value to the client company in terms of your experience and achievements, without disclosing your personal identity. Only when a good match has been made between a client company and a candidate, and an interview has been requested by both parties, do we ask your permission to reveal your identity to the client. In this way, we safeguard your present position.

6. We are always happy to be contacted by high calibre individuals at senior or middle management level who are considering a career move or looking for a new position. There is no cost to candidates, as we are engaged by the employer.

If you would like further information, or if you would like us to help in the next stage of your career development, please call us, in strictest confidence, on 0870 770 0991 for an initial discussion, or email your CV to enquiry@mriww-mo.co.uk and one of our consultants will contact you to discuss a future strategy.
